Kewill Announces Continued Growth in Revenue and Profitability
The Board of Kewill Systems plc (LSE: KWL) (“Kewill” or “the Group”), the leading provider of global supply chain execution software and services, today issues the following update on trading for the half year ended 30 September 2006, in advance of its Interim Results due to be announced on 14 November 2006:
We are pleased to announce that our first half results are expected to be in line with management expectations that Kewill would deliver significantly improved revenue and profit on the same period last year, including a return to growth in our enterprise shipping management business and that we are confident in our outlook for the full year.
All businesses have grown revenues and profits over the same period last year. Following the acquisition of CSF in June 2006, the international trade management business continues to experience strong growth. As stated at our Preliminary results in June, we expect FY06/07 to be a year when organic growth returns to our traditional businesses. In the first half of 2006/07 we have seen our shipping management business return to growth with the continued success of its enterprise solution Flagship, including the multi-million dollar agreement with Purolator Courier, Canada’s largest carrier. Furthermore, the order management and visibility business has won an increased amount of new contracts in both the insurance and retail sectors and enters the second half with an improved backlog and strong pipeline.
The net cash balance of £9.3 million at 30 September 2006 gives
us scope to continue to expand our geographic coverage and add to our growth
through
selective acquisitions.
