Appointment of non-executive director

Kewill Systems plc (“Kewill” or the “Group”), the provider of supply chain control software and solutions, is please to announce the appointment today of Richard Gawthorne (56) as an independent non-executive Director of the Group. He will chair the Group’s Audit Committee and will also serve on the Group's remuneration and nominations committees.

Mr Gawthorne is a chartered accountant who qualified at Coopers & Lybrand and has 30 years’ experience. Between 1988 and 1993 Mr Gawthorne held finance director positions at Prudential Life and Pensions and at Prudential Corporate Pensions. He is currently chairman of the private company MatrixMicroscience Ltd and has previously served as a non-executive director of the software company Smartstream Technologies Group Ltd and as an executive director of 3i plc.

Andy Roberts, non-executive Chairman of Kewill said today:

“Richard’s financial experience will be invaluable in his role as chairman of the Audit Committee and membership of the remuneration and nominations committees at Kewill. He clearly has the right combination of extensive experience as a financial director and more recently experience of software industry.”

Pursuant to rule 9.6.13(3) of the Listing Rules, Kewill confirms that Richard Gawthorne, as part of his role as a 3i appointee, has held executive director roles at the following companies, all part of the Corinth Healthcare group, which went into administrative receivership: Corinth Healthcare Ltd; Corinth Medical Services Ltd; Corinth Healthcare Services Ltd; Corinth Medistaff Ltd; Complementary Care Services Ltd; Capital Employment Ltd; and, JPM Services Ltd. There are no other disclosures under 9.6.13(1) or 9.6.13(4)-(6).
