The Role:

The post is responsible for driving the UK Professional Service and Project Management Teams to deliver customer solutions in line with the contracted agreement, forecasted revenues and business budgets and targets.

  • The individual must be able to run the day-to day management of circa 20 plus consultants and project managers across multiple offices in the UK
  • Will identify the requirements of each new business client and ensure the contracted solution and/or consultancy is delivered in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsible for accurate planning and forecasting of delivery revenue, margin, resource allocation and project timelines
  • Ensures that projects are delivered to Kewill’s standard project management methodology (which is based on PRINCE2) as well as ensuring that staff are utilised to their full potential, through coaching and mentoring
Responsibilities:
  • Provide staff management to Professional Services and Project Management personnel and line management to Professional Services Team leaders, Project Managers and Project Office Administrator
  • Delivery of new business and professional services contracted orders
  • Forecasting and delivery of project and new business revenue targets and project costs
  • Attainment of delivery KPI’s as set in the monthly reports, SLAs customer contracts, budget and annual appraisal objectives including revenue forecast accuracy, customer required delivery dates and staff utilisation targets
  • Provision of Professional Services Consultancy and Project Management resource based on customer requirement and skills available
  • Act in the role of Executive Project Sponsor on major customer project deliveries and ensure that projects are being routinely ‘health-checked’ to ensure quality of delivery and to maintain customer satisfaction levels
  • Ensuring that the consultants are cross-skilled to provide professional services across all UK delivered product sets.
  • Pro-actively market Professional Services both directly to customers and via the Sales and Marketing organisation
  • Provide assistance to the Sales team, attending qualifying sales meetings, if required
  • Generate a monthly report to the VP PS - Europe covering monthly financial performance, KPI’s, project status/success/risks and staff matters
  • Own and drive weekly PMO and Order Backlog meetings and thereby ensure that deliveries are on plan and accurate updates on new business delivery is available to the Executive and Sales teams via the Intranet
  • Provision of Delivery expenditure into the budget process and agree with the CTO and Development Managers resource requirements to deliver forecasted new business.
  • Develop and maintain the project delivery methodology in line with PRINCE2
  • Manage staff training and development and by mentoring the team, prepare career plans and evaluating the members of the team to enable succession planning.
  • Manage staff recruitment, selection and performance reviews.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Essential experience to be demonstrated will include: assisting sales organisation in capturing new business, managing implementation and installation activities and leading consultancy and training schedules on projects, managing both individuals and teams of people in a time and resource pressured environment
  • Proven ability and prior experience of; forecasting, achieving delivery of professional services revenue and cost management goals
  • Proven experience in Professional Services delivery
  • Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary and multi-location consultancy function in the Business Application arena
  • Previous experience of developing client accounts and of having conducted client-facing meetings at senior level
  • Accredited PRINCE2 practitioner
  • Analytical, structured and methodological individual
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, used to doing public presentations.
  • Enthusiastic person and passionate for the product / value proposition of Kewill
  • Pro-active, team player
  • Good understanding of sales process in solution selling software industry
  • Good understanding of the software industry, specifically in SCM / ERP application software would be advantageous
  • Preferably educated to Degree level or equivalent
Location:
  • This role will be located in Guildford or Manchester and a degree of travel to client and other Kewill sites is expected.
